Janene Ternes, founder of Prayer in Motion, LLC in 2003, is a gifted teacher and mentor who provides tools and inspiration that open new avenues to grow in relationship with God. Foundational to her success is Janene’s deep spirituality, love of music and professional background as a Spiritual Director.

Janene is an active spiritual guide who companions people in their personal faith journeys. She received her training through the Ignatian Spiritual Direction Program at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House and was commissioned in 2003. She is currently a supervisor for the Spiritual Direction Internship program there as well as a director for the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Participants across the country have found her programs to be a liberating and extremely fruitful form of prayer. The power of Prayer in Motion has been demonstrated and experienced by lay people and clergy from a wide variety of denominations. Her gentle presence and sensitive listening provide a safe place for prayer. Janene’s mission is to help others discover and enhance their own unique relationship with God, leading to a more loving, peaceful, joyful and fulfilled life.

About ASP

Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in central Appalachia. ASP’s vision is that substandard housing in central Appalachia will be eradicated and that everyone who comes into contact with this ministry will be transformed.

ASP’s goal is to make homes warmer, safer and drier for families in need. It also provides a unique framework that fosters transformational experiences for volunteers and families served by building relationships with each other that break down cultural, social and economic barriers. Who: All High School Youth Chaperones needed: For every 5 youth, we are required to bring 2 adult chaperones

Overall ASP Cost: $325 (does not include travel and other expenses)

Participant Cost: $250 Payment #1: $50 due Nov. 15 Payment #2: $100 due Feb. 15 Payment #3 (final): $100 due April 15
